Subsequently, impressions of your gums and teeth will be taken to be used a mould for the denture fabrication process.
Sometimes your dentist uses these impressions to prepare a temporary model known as a 'Try-In Denture', to ensure that your denture will fit well and work as desired before the actual fabrication of the final dentures.
Choosing Materials
Your dentist will show you various teeth colors, shapes and translucencies for you to select what appears as natural as possible for you.

Fitting & Adjustment

Denture Repair & Reline
To ensure that your dentures work and fit correctly, it is recommended that you get your dentures replaced at least once in five to seven years. However before then, your dentures might require some repairs.

When your jawbone shrinks, some spacing is left below your denture and food particles may get trapped in this spacing. Also the clasps of your denture may become worn out and loose. You should not adjust your denture at home because you can destroy the denture or harm your health. Household glues should not be used to fix a damaged denture since they contain harmful substances.
Visit your dentist in case of a broken, cracked or chipped partial denture or in case any denture tooth gets loose. In case you lose any of your natural teeth supporting and holding the denture then your partial removable denture may also require some adjustment.
Simple denture repairs can be done in a day but complex repairs usually require more time. To get your partial denture quickly fixed, ensure that you schedule an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible. Types of Denture Repairs
- Denture reline: with time the hard and soft tissues inside the mouth change hence your dentures will need to be resurfaced to ensure a firm fit.
