Before GST. Examination, advice and a written quote.
Four in Singapore, one in Kuala Lumpur.
Deducted or claimed where the treatment qualifies.
Everyday care and prevention
The routine end of dentistry, and the part that keeps the expensive end away. Most patients need nothing beyond this.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Dental check-up Examination, gum check and advice. The visit that finds problems early. |
$50 |
| Scaling and polishing Removes the hardened tartar a toothbrush cannot shift. |
$80 to $120 |
| Fillings Repairs decay before it reaches the nerve. |
From $100 |
| Oral cancer screening Part of every routine examination, not a separate appointment. |
Included |
Repairing and restoring teeth
When a tooth is damaged, the aim is to keep it. These are the treatments that do that, in rough order of how much of the tooth is left to work with.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Root canal treatment Saves a tooth once decay or infection reaches the nerve. |
$500 to $1,300 |
| Dental crowns Rebuilds a tooth too broken to hold a filling. |
From $950 |
| Veneers and bonding Reshapes and resurfaces front teeth. |
$600 to $1,300 per tooth |
Our page on cavities explains where the line falls between a filling and a crown, and why waiting moves a tooth from one column to the next.
Gums and oral health
Gum disease is the quiet one. The 2019 National Adult Oral Health Survey found 77.6 per cent of Singaporean adults had some form of it, and most did not know.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Gum disease treatment From a routine clean through to deep cleaning below the gumline. |
Quoted after assessment |
| Persistent bad breath Finding the cause rather than covering it. |
From $50 consultation |
The wider oral health guide covers prevention, from daily technique and cleaning between the teeth to mouth spots and sores and what your gums say about the rest of your health.
Removing teeth
Removal is the last option, not the first. When it is the right answer, these are the two routes.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Tooth extraction When a tooth cannot be saved. Simple and surgical cases. |
$150 to $350 |
| Wisdom tooth surgery Impacted and buried teeth. Claimable from MediSave. |
From $1,250 |
Replacing missing teeth
A gap does not stay a gap. The opposing tooth drifts down, the neighbours tip in, and the bone that held the root shrinks over the following years, which narrows the options later.
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Dental implants A titanium root and crown that stands on its own. MediSave claimable up to $1,950 per implant. |
$1,950 to $6,000 |
| Dental bridges The neighbouring teeth carry a replacement across the gap. Priced per unit, like a crown. |
From $950 per unit |
| Dentures Removable replacement. Full dentures $800 to $1,300 per arch before CHAS, partials from $350. |
From $350 |
Planning for implants and dentures runs through our denture and implant centre, and jaw joint problems are assessed at the same time where the bite is involved.
Straightening and appearance
| Service | Fee |
|---|---|
| Braces Metal and ceramic, the tried and tested route. |
$3,500 to $6,500 |
| Invisalign Clear removable aligners. |
$1,888 to $6,500 |
| Teeth whitening Chairside from $300 with our affordable option, or $1,000 to $1,300 for the full treatment. Take-home kits $300 to $650. |
From $300 |
Straightening is a long treatment, so the consultation matters more than the brochure. Both braces and Invisalign pages set out the stages, the review intervals and what happens if you stop wearing the retainer.

What treatment costs, and how to pay for it
Fees on this page are NoFrills Dental prices before GST, which has been 9 per cent since 1 January 2024 per the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. Ranges are ranges because complexity varies: a single surface filling and a three surface filling are not the same job. Where a row says quoted after assessment, the fee genuinely depends on what the examination and x-ray show, and you are told the figure before treatment begins.
| The building blocks of a bill | Fee |
|---|---|
| Consultation and examination | $50 |
| X-ray, single tooth | $50 |
| Scaling and polishing | $80 to $120 |
| Composite filling | From $100 |
| Typical first visit with a clean, before GST | From $130 |
Subsidies and schemes we work with
CHAS covers basic treatment for cardholders, deducted at the counter rather than claimed back, with limits per calendar year. Every card and every rate is in our 2026 CHAS subsidy guide, and Merdeka and Pioneer Generation cardholders have their own higher rates. MediSave applies to surgical treatment, which is why wisdom tooth surgery and implant surgery are claimable and a routine filling is not. Parents can use the Baby Bonus Child Development Account, and we work with a number of corporate and personal dental insurance plans.

What a first visit looks like
- You tell us what you have noticed, and what you are worried about. That includes the cost, which is a normal thing to ask about first.
- The dentist examines every tooth, checks the gums, and looks over the soft tissues.
- X-rays are taken only where there is a reason to take them.
- You get the findings in plain language, a plan in order of urgency, and a written quote.
- Straightforward treatment is often done at the same visit. Anything larger is scheduled, never rushed.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a first visit at NoFrills Dental?
A consultation and examination is $50 before GST. An x-ray of a single tooth is $50, and a scale and polish at the same visit is $80 to $120. So a typical first appointment with a clean is $130 or more before GST, and CHAS cardholders have the subsidy taken off at the counter.
Do you publish your prices?
Yes, on each service page, as ranges rather than a single figure because complexity varies. You are quoted for your own case before treatment starts, never after. If a page says quoted after assessment, it is because the fee genuinely depends on what the x-ray and examination show.
Which services are covered by CHAS?
CHAS subsidises basic treatment: consultation, scaling, polishing, fillings, extractions, x-rays, and several restorative procedures whose rates rose on 1 October 2025. Claim limits apply per calendar year. Every card and rate is set out in our 2026 CHAS guide.
What can I claim from MediSave?
MediSave applies to surgical procedures, so wisdom tooth surgery and dental implant surgery are claimable while routine treatment is not. Implant surgery is claimable up to $1,950 per implant. From mid-2026, seniors aged 60 and above can also use Flexi-MediSave for root canals and permanent crowns.
Do you take dental insurance?
Many corporate and personal plans cover routine dental treatment, and we work with a number of them. Bring your card or policy details to the appointment and we will tell you what is claimable before we begin.
Do I need a referral to see a dentist?
No. Book directly with any of our clinics. If your case needs a specialist we will say so and arrange it rather than proceeding out of our depth.
Where are your clinics?
Suntec City, Marina Square, Marine Parade and Tanjong Katong in Singapore, and Sri Hartamas in Kuala Lumpur. Addresses, opening hours and directions are on our clinics page.
