Who Dr Tang is

Dr Daniel Tang is a General Dental Practitioner at NoFrills Dental with over 20 years of clinical experience. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and is registered with the Singapore Dental Council.

His clinical focus is oral surgery and implant dentistry, with extensive experience rehabilitating partially and fully edentulous patients. That work covers dental implant placement, full-arch rehabilitation including All-on-4 concepts, and implant-supported prosthetic reconstruction for people who would otherwise rely on dentures. He has undertaken postgraduate training in advanced implant and surgical techniques, including bone augmentation, sinus augmentation and guided implant surgery, and trained under Dr Carlos Aparicio in the ZAGA (Zygoma Anatomy-Guided Approach) technique for zygomatic implants.

Alongside the surgery, he has pursued continuing education in digital implant workflows, so planning, guided placement and the final restoration are handled as one process rather than three separate stages.

Known for a calm and approachable manner, Dr Tang places strong emphasis on clear communication and gentle treatment, which matters most to patients who feel anxious about dental care. His approach is thoughtful and personalised, focused not only on restoring function and appearance but on long-term oral health and confidence.

What Dr Tang treats

Every treatment below is one he carries out himself. Costs for each are set out in the published price list, and the wider treatment list covers everything the group offers.

Treatment What it is for
Dental implants Replacing one or more missing teeth with a fixed, root-supported tooth.
All-on-4 and full-arch A complete fixed arch supported by four or more implants.
Zygomatic implants For upper jaws with too little bone for conventional implants.
Pterygoid implants Anchoring the back of an upper arch without a sinus graft.
Implant overdentures A removable denture clipped onto implants so it stops moving.
Bone and sinus augmentation Rebuilding bone volume so an implant can be placed safely.
Guided implant surgery Placement planned on a 3D scan and carried out through a surgical guide.
Extractions and wisdom tooth surgery Including surgical removal of difficult or impacted teeth.
Crowns and bridges Restoring broken down teeth and spans of missing teeth.
General and routine care Check-ups, scaling and gum treatment alongside surgical work.

What an implant case with Dr Tang looks like

Implant treatment is a sequence rather than a single appointment. The stages below are the usual shape of a case; your own plan, and how long each stage takes, depends on your bone, your bite and whether grafting is needed.

The usual sequence of an implant case

Stages, not timings. Dr Tang sets out your own schedule in writing after the assessment.

AssessmentExamination, 3D imaging where it changes the plan, and a discussion of what is realistic.
Written planOptions, sequence and costs in writing before anything begins.
PreparationExtractions, bone or sinus augmentation if the site needs it.
PlacementImplant surgery, guided from the 3D plan where appropriate.
HealingThe implant integrates with bone. A temporary tooth is often worn.
RestorationThe final crown, bridge or arch is fitted and the bite adjusted.
ReviewOngoing care so the implant is monitored like any other tooth.

Beyond the clinic

Dr Tang currently serves in the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps as a Major and Head of the Medical Operations Cell within a Division Support Command (DISCOM), contributing to medical operations, planning and coordination.

He is active in mentoring younger dentists, sharing what he has learned in implant dentistry, surgery and patient care to support their professional development. He also joins overseas medical missions providing care for underserved populations, and contributes to local grassroots and community initiatives.

That commitment runs through how he treats people day to day, and sits behind our peace of mind promise: fees quoted before treatment begins, and a written plan you can take away.

He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Continuing Dental Education.

Is Dr Tang a registered specialist?

No. Dr Tang is a General Dental Practitioner on the Singapore Dental Council register, not a listed specialist. His implant and surgical work rests on postgraduate training and more than twenty years of clinical experience rather than specialist registration. If a case needs a registered specialist, we will tell you and refer.

I feel anxious about implant surgery. Can he help?

Yes, and it is a large part of how he works. Dr Tang is known for a calm, unhurried manner and explains each step before it happens. Our notes on overcoming dental anxiety are worth reading first, and you can say when you book that you are nervous so we allow extra time.

Can I use MediSave or CHAS for implant treatment?

Implant surgery is MediSave claimable and we handle the paperwork. CHAS, Merdeka and Pioneer subsidies apply to routine treatment rather than implants. We also work with the major insurers. Fees are quoted in writing before treatment begins, and the full price list is published.
