About Dr Andrew Zhao Long
Dr Andrew Zhao Long received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2008.
He practises general dentistry with a focus on periodontics and prosthodontics, caring for patients across the full spectrum of restorative needs.
Dr Andrew has special interests in the comprehensive treatment of the debilitated dentition, worn dentition, terminal dentition, and the completely edentulous (toothless) situation. He prides himself on being able to offer a full range of treatment plans to suit the preferences and budgets of his patients.
He is especially well versed in difficult complete denture cases. His interest led him to train with some of the best denture mentors in the world, and he later became an instructor for Dr Jiro Abe's Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Denture (SEMCD), giving lectures and conducting workshops in China, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.

We accept CHAS, Merdeka and Pioneer cards, handle MediSave paperwork for claimable surgical procedures, work with the major insurers, and accept Baby Bonus for children. If you feel anxious about dental care, say so when you book and we will allow extra time.

What is a SEMCD denture?
SEMCD stands for Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Denture, a technique developed by Dr Jiro Abe that uses precise impression and design methods to create lower dentures that hold in place by suction. Dr Andrew is a certified instructor in this method.
I have very few teeth left, what are my options?
Dr Andrew specialises in terminal and edentulous dentition. Depending on your situation, options can range from complete dentures to implant-supported solutions. He'll walk you through plans that fit your preferences and budget.
Why do my dentures keep falling out?
Loose lower dentures are a very common complaint. Dr Andrew's training in SEMCD focuses specifically on this problem and can often dramatically improve denture stability with the right impression and design technique.
Do you treat gum disease?
Yes, periodontics is one of Dr Andrew's areas of focus. Treatment ranges from deep cleaning and oral hygiene coaching to more advanced periodontal therapy depending on the severity.
