About Dr Chan Joon Yee
Dr Chan Joon Yee graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1988. After completing his National Service as a dental officer in the Republic of Singapore Navy, he went on to establish and run his own dental clinic in Hougang for 17 years. Seeking new challenges and a deeper focus on advanced procedures, Dr Chan expanded his practice to Orchard Road, where he developed a particular interest in dental implants and aesthetic dentistry. His patient base grew steadily through word of mouth, built on his calm chairside manner and meticulous clinical work. In 2012, Dr Chan obtained a Diploma in Acupuncture after several years of formal study in Traditional Chinese Medicine, an interest that continues to inform his holistic approach to patient care today. Now semi-retired, Dr Chan practices part-time and devotes the rest of his time to content creation and adventure travel, sharing his perspectives on health, life and the outdoors with a growing audience.

Fees, subsidies and your first visit
Fees are quoted in writing before treatment begins. We accept CHAS, Merdeka and Pioneer cards, handle MediSave paperwork for claimable surgical procedures, work with the major insurers, and accept Baby Bonus for children. If you feel anxious about dental care, say so when you book and we will allow extra time.

How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, modern dental implants can last 20+ years and often a lifetime. Long-term success depends on bone health, gum care, and avoiding habits like heavy grinding or smoking.
Are you still seeing new patients?
Yes, although Dr Chan is semi-retired, he continues to take on new patients on a part-time schedule. Please contact the clinic to check current availability.
Do you offer acupuncture as a standalone treatment?
Acupuncture is offered primarily as an adjunct to dental and pain-management care, drawing on Dr Chan's formal TCM training. We're happy to discuss whether it's appropriate for your situation.
What should I expect at my first visit?
A thorough consultation, X-rays if needed, and a relaxed conversation about your concerns and goals. No treatment is performed without first walking you through the options and costs.
