About the Doctor
A Career Devoted to Patient Care
Dr Yi Danping is a Dental Surgeon at NoFrills Dental with more than a decade of clinical experience, focused on dental implants, All-on-X full arch restoration and implant-supported dentures. She holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in the United States, and is registered with the Singapore Dental Council. She sees patients at our Marina Square clinic and at the NF Denture and Implant Centre.
Before dentistry she read Fine Arts at Connecticut College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. She treats the two disciplines as the same problem approached from different sides, and it shows in how she plans restorative work: shade, proportion and the way teeth sit against the rest of the face are decided deliberately rather than left to chance.
Dr Yi has practised in both public health and private practice in the United States, treating patients across a wide range of circumstances and complexity. She speaks English and Mandarin.

We believe great dentistry starts with great relationships, and here's a little more about who they are outside the chair.
Dr Yi came to dentistry from fine art, and she still talks about the two the same way. A full arch restoration has to survive years of chewing, but it also has to look like it belongs in someone's face.
In public health in the United States she treated patients who had often gone years without seeing a dentist, where the job was getting people comfortable and functional again rather than chasing perfection.
In private practice she concentrated on complex restorative work, including full arch implant cases.
