Invisalign Cost in Singapore (2026): What You Pay, Line by Line

Invisalign costs $1,888 to $6,500 at NoFrills Dental, before GST, for the whole course. Across the Singapore market, prices for Invisalign, also sold as invisible braces or invisible aligners, run from roughly $3,000 to $10,000 before GST. That is a wider spread than almost any other dental treatment, and there is a reason for it: Singapore has a published reference price for braces and none at all for clear aligners. The Ministry of Health benchmarks cover 18 procedures and orthodontics is not among them, while seven public institutions publish a total bill for braces and not one publishes a figure for aligners. This guide gives our fees line by line, the market with every clinic named and its GST basis stated, and the costs that sit outside the headline number.

A treatment room at a NoFrills Dental clinic in Singapore where Invisalign cases are planned and reviewed
$1,888to $6,500 before GST for the whole Invisalign course with us, not a deposit and not a per visit fee

  • With 9 per cent GST that course is $2,057.92 to $7,085. GST has been 9 per cent since 1 January 2024, and Singapore clinics publish on both bases, so a quote is not comparable until you know which one you are reading.
  • There is no MOH fee benchmark for clear aligners. The benchmarks cover 18 procedures and orthodontics is not one of them, so there is no official reference price to check an Invisalign quote against. Our guide to the 2026 dental fee benchmarks has the full list.
  • CHAS pays nothing towards Invisalign. Neither does MediSave, and neither does Flexi-MediSave. Orthodontics is treated as elective.
  • A child's Child Development Account is the one scheme that does pay, including for Invisalign First, and it closes on 31 December of the year the child turns 12.
  • In the largest published real world study, 500 consecutive Invisalign patients averaged 22.8 months rather than the 17.7 months they were quoted, and one in six finished in braces instead.

How much does Invisalign cost in Singapore?

At NoFrills Dental, Invisalign is $1,888 to $6,500 before GST. That is the fee for the course of treatment from the first aligner to the last, at every one of our Singapore clinics, and not a per visit charge. Our full price list sets out where it sits against everything else we do.

The cost of Invisalign in Singapore is not one number, and any page that gives you a single figure is rounding away the thing that decides your bill. The reason our range is wider at the bottom than most is that it includes the short cases. A patient whose front teeth have drifted a little since their braces came off years ago is a genuinely small piece of work, a handful of aligners over a few months, and it would be dishonest to price it as though it were a full arch correction. A crowded bite that needs extractions and two years of movement sits at the other end of the same range.

What you are paying for With us, before GST
Invisalign, whole course $1,888 to $6,500
First consultation, suitability check and 3D scan $50, waived if you proceed
X-ray, single tooth $80
Clear removable retainer, after treatment From $350 a set
Fixed retainer, bonded behind the teeth $300 to $600 an arch

NoFrills Dental fees, before GST, current as at 6 August 2026. The consultation includes an oral health and suitability assessment and an iTero intraoral scan, and it is waived if you go ahead with treatment. Fees change; confirm yours in writing before you start.

What does each Invisalign tier cost in Singapore?

This is the question behind most Invisalign price searches, and it is the one most pages skip. Invisalign is not one product with one price. It is a set of plans, each capping how many aligners your case gets, and the Singapore price range for each plan is set out below. If you have been quoted a figure, this table tells you which plan it probably is.

Plan Singapore price range
Express or Anterior, the smallest cases $3,000 to $5,000
Lite or Light, mild crowding $3,900 to $6,500
Moderate, the middle tier $6,000 to $7,500
Comprehensive or Full, as many aligners as the case needs $6,950 to $10,000
Teen From $5,500
NoFrills Dental, whole course, any plan $1,888 to $6,500

Market ranges compiled 5 October 2026 from publicly published Singapore price pages. Plans are named differently across the market, so tiers are grouped by what they do rather than by brand name, and each range spans the lowest and highest figure found. Some published figures are per arch and bases differ, so treat these as the shape of the market rather than as a quote. Our own figure is one range covering every plan, before GST.

Two things are worth noticing. The first is that the plan, not the premises, explains most of the spread: an Express case and a Comprehensive case are different amounts of work, and the gap between them is wider than the gap between two quotes for the same plan. The second is that we do not quote by plan at all. Our range covers whatever your case needs, which is why our lower bound sits below the market and our upper bound does too.

Is that price before GST or after it?

This is the single most common way an Invisalign comparison goes wrong in Singapore, and it is worth more to you than any discount you are likely to negotiate. GST has been 9 per cent since 1 January 2024. Half the market publishes fees before it and half publishes NETT figures that already include it, and almost nobody says which in the headline.

What a quote of $6,500 actually costs you, on each basis

$6,500 quoted before GST$7,085 to pay

$6,500 quoted NETT, GST included$6,500 to pay

The gap between two identical looking quotes$585

Calculated at the prevailing 9 per cent GST rate, which has applied since 1 January 2024 per the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. Bar length is the amount payable as a share of the higher of the two.

Five hundred and eighty five dollars is more than the first set of retainers. It is the kind of difference people change clinics over, and it can be entirely invisible in a side by side comparison of two websites. Every fee on our own price list is stated before GST, and GST is shown as its own line on your written quote and on your receipt, so you can see exactly what is fee and what is tax.

Two further things to ask about, because they also sit outside the headline. A small per visit charge is common in this market, and over a two year course of monthly reviews it adds up. And a price quoted per arch is not a price for your mouth, since most cases treat both.

Why is there no official price for Invisalign?

On 1 September 2025 the Ministry of Health published Singapore's first dental fee benchmarks: recommended charge ranges for 18 common procedures, from a consultation at $21 to $31 up to a molar root canal at $872 to $1,400. We went through the full list in our guide to the 2026 dental fee benchmarks. Orthodontics is not on it, and there is no benchmark for clear aligners of any brand.

What makes this worth knowing rather than merely frustrating is what MOH does publish on the same page. For braces it lists the total bill size at seven public institutions.

Orthodontics, braces, two jaws, non surgical Published total bill
Tan Tock Seng Hospital $3,930
National University Centre for Oral Health $4,121
KK Women's and Children's Hospital $4,250
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital $4,470
National Dental Centre of Singapore $4,997
Ng Teng Fong General Hospital $5,128
Changi General Hospital $5,800

Ministry of Health, Guide to Dental Treatment Costs, page last updated 1 October 2026. These are published total bill sizes for braces across two jaws, non surgical, at public institutions. No public institution publishes an equivalent figure for clear aligners.

So braces have a public sector reference price that anyone can look up, spanning $3,930 to $5,800, and Invisalign has nothing at all. That is the honest reason an aligner quote can be $3,900 at one clinic and $9,810 at another for a case that sounds the same on the phone. It is not a market where you can check a price against an official number, so the only defence is a written, itemised quote with the inclusions named.

What do Express, Lite, Moderate and Comprehensive actually mean?

Invisalign is sold in tiers, and the tier is not a service level. It is a cap on how many aligners the plan will supply, which is really a cap on how far your teeth are allowed to travel. That is why the same clinic can quote two patients very different numbers for what both would describe as crooked front teeth.

Tier, as the manufacturer sets it out What it is for
Express The smallest cases, typically minor front tooth movement or a relapse after old braces
Lite Mild crowding or spacing, usually up to about 14 sets of aligners
Moderate A middle tier between Lite and the full plan, not offered by every clinic
Comprehensive, sometimes called Full As many aligners as the case needs, including cases with extractions
Invisalign First Younger children with a mix of baby and adult teeth
Invisalign Teen Adolescents, with allowances for teeth still coming through

Our own Invisalign page explains the Lite and Comprehensive split as we apply it, and Invisalign for complex cases covers what the full plan is actually for. The practical point for budgeting is simple: a Lite quote that turns out to need more movement than 14 aligners can deliver does not stay a Lite price. Ask, before you start, what happens to the fee if your case needs to move up a tier.

Does a Platinum or Diamond provider cost more?

Often, yes, and it is worth knowing exactly what the badge measures before you pay for it. Align Technology ranks the dentists who use its system by how many cases they start each year: Bronze at the bottom, then Silver, Gold, Platinum from about 61 cases a year, Platinum Elite, Diamond from about 301, Diamond Plus and Diamond Apex above 800. Clinics display the tier prominently, and some price against it.

The honest reading is that it is a volume badge rather than a quality rating. The ranking is calculated from case starts alone, and it does not measure success rates, case complexity, treatment outcomes, patient satisfaction or any clinical qualification. A high tier does tell you the clinician handles aligners often, which is a reasonable thing to want. It does not tell you they will handle your case better than a dentist who takes fewer and chooses them carefully, and it is not a reason on its own to pay more.

Three things decide which tier you are in, and none of them is negotiable.

  1. How far the teeth have to move. Rotation, spacing closure and bite correction are different distances. When treatment is actually needed sets out which problems are cosmetic and which are functional.
  2. Whether anything has to come out first. A crowded arch sometimes needs an extraction to make room, which adds $150 to $350 a tooth with us and moves the case into the full plan.
  3. What the x-ray finds before you start. Aligners do not go onto active decay or untreated gum disease. A filling from $100, scaling and polishing at $100 to $120, or gum treatment are cheaper before orthodontics than after it.

The whole bill, line by line

The course fee is the headline, but it is not the total. This is a complete lower end and upper end bill with us, including the first set of retainers, which is the part most quotes leave out and the part nobody can skip.

Invisalign course fee $1,888 to $6,500
GST at 9 per cent $169.92 to $585
First clear retainer set, after the last aligner From $350
GST on the retainer From $31.50
What you actually pay, start to finish $2,439.42 to $7,466.50

Illustrative, using our published fees as at 6 August 2026 and 9 per cent GST. Assumes the consultation is waived because you proceed, one set of clear retainers at the lower end of our retainer range, and no extractions or restorative work needed first. Anything else your case needs is quoted in writing before it is started, which is what our written treatment plan is for.

Get a written Invisalign quote for your own teeth

The first consultation, suitability check and 3D scan are $50, waived if you go ahead, and you leave with the figure in writing either way.

What does Invisalign cost per month?

Nobody pays for Invisalign in one go, so the figure most people actually budget against is the monthly one. There is a catch in how it is advertised, and the arithmetic to defeat it takes thirty seconds.

Spread across a course of about 23 months, with GST Works out at
A $1,888 course, the simpler end of our range About $89 a month
A $4,194 course, the midpoint of our range About $199 a month
A $6,500 course, the complex end of our range About $308 a month

Arithmetic, not a payment plan. It divides our published fee plus 9 per cent GST by 23 months, which is the mean Invisalign treatment length measured across 500 consecutive patients in the 2023 study cited below. Your own course may be shorter or longer, and what you pay at each appointment is set out in writing before you start.

Now the catch. A low monthly figure can simply mean a long course, and a clinic quoting per visit collects more when treatment runs long, which the measured data says it usually does. So do this with any advertised monthly number, at any clinic: multiply it by the number of months quoted and check the answer against the total you were given. If the two disagree, ask which one is wrong. Compare totals, never months.

The costs that sit outside the headline price

Every clinic in the table above bills some things separately. None of it is hidden, but it only appears when you read the fee schedule rather than the headline. These are the usual ones, with published figures where clinics publish them.

  1. Records before you start. Scans, photographs and x-rays are how the plan is made. Ours are a $50 consultation that is waived if you proceed, and $80 for a single tooth x-ray. Across the Singapore market, checked 5 October 2026, an orthodontic consultation is commonly $150 to $240, an OPG or lateral cephalometric x-ray $70 to $100 a film, and a 3D scan around $150. Ask what is inside the headline fee and what is billed on top.
  2. Retainers, which are not optional. From $350 a set for clear ones with us, $200 to $400 for a Hawley and $300 to $600 an arch for a fixed wire. Across the market a branded retainer set commonly runs $500 to $600, and a three set pack $1,000 to $1,200. The type you are given depends on the case rather than on preference, and teeth move back without them.
  3. Refinements. Extra aligners ordered when the teeth have not finished moving. Some plans include a round or two and some charge for every one; the next section has the published figures and the frequency data.
  4. Replacing a lost aligner. Aligners come out to eat, which is their advantage and the reason they end up in napkins. Ask what a replacement tray costs before you lose one. Living with Invisalign covers the habits that prevent it.
  5. Treatment the x-ray finds first. Decay and gum disease are treated before aligners go in, not during.
  6. Per visit charges. A small infection control or consumables charge at each visit is common in this market. Over a course of monthly reviews it is a small but real addition, and it is the kind of line that only appears on the fee schedule.
  7. Keeping the aligners clean for two years. They stain and they harbour plaque. Cleaning your aligners properly costs nothing but doing it badly can cost you a tray.

Refinements, and the one in six who end up in braces

This is the part of Invisalign pricing that almost no cost page in Singapore will tell you, and it is the single biggest reason a quoted figure and a final bill differ.

The largest published real world study of Invisalign followed 500 consecutive patients through treatment. It was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2023. Four findings from it matter when you are reading a quote.

What the study measured, across 500 patients Result
Treatment length actually taken 22.8 months
Treatment length estimated at the consultation 17.7 months
Patients who needed no refinement scan at all 6.0 per cent
Average number of refinement scans per patient 2.5
Patients who switched from Invisalign to braces 17.2 per cent

Kravitz, Dalloul, Aba Zaid, Shah and Vaid, What percentage of patients switch from Invisalign to braces? American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2023, volume 163, issue 4, pages 526 to 530. A single practice retrospective study, so treat it as a strong indication rather than a national average.

Read it as a pricing document rather than a clinical one. Only six patients in a hundred finished without a refinement, so a plan that charges for refinements is, for almost everybody, a plan that will charge. Published Singapore refinement charges, checked 5 October 2026, run from about $100 for a refinement scan to $800 for a later round on a smaller plan, and some plans include the first round or two before charging. The number to establish is not the headline fee but what the second, third and fourth rounds cost.

And one patient in six did not finish in aligners at all. Switching to fixed braces partway through is not a failure of the clinic or the patient, it is what you do when a movement turns out to need a bracket. But it is a cost event, and the honest question to ask before you start is what happens to the fee if your case has to change appliance. Ask it of us too.

Three questions, in writing, before you sign anything at any clinic.

  1. How many rounds of refinement are included, and what does the next one cost?
  2. If my case needs to move up a tier, what is the fee difference?
  3. If we switch to braces partway, what do I pay, and what is credited?

Cost per year, and how long the result lasts

Invisalign is not a purchase with a service life in the way a night guard or a denture is. The aligners are finished with after about two years and then they are gone. What you keep is the correction, and you keep it for exactly as long as it is retained.

Over ten years Roughly
A $4,194 course, before GST, spread over 10 years $419 a year
Clear retainer sets at $350, replaced about every 3 years $117 a year
Total cost of a straight result, per year About $536 a year

Illustrative and clearly labelled as such. It uses the midpoint of our published Invisalign range, our published clear retainer fee and a three year replacement assumption. Replacement intervals vary with how you wear and clean them; a fixed retainer at $300 to $600 an arch can last far longer. We do not hold published audit data on our own patients' retainer lifespans, so the three year figure is a planning assumption rather than a measured one.

The retention half of that arithmetic is not a sales line. A Cochrane systematic review in 2023 pooled 47 randomised trials covering 4,377 patients and could not show that any one retention approach holds teeth better than another, with the evidence rated low to very low certainty. What the review does not question is that retention is needed. Teeth drift back towards where they started, and the only reliable thing standing between you and that is a retainer you actually wear.

Which is why the retainer line belongs in the budget from the start rather than appearing as a surprise two years in. Compare it with the cost of a night guard or a denture and the arithmetic of keeping a result looks much more ordinary than the headline course fee suggests.

Is Invisalign worth it at Singapore prices?

We sell this treatment, so take our answer with that in mind and check it against the figures above. What we can do honestly is separate the parts of that question that have answers from the part that does not.

The part that has an answer is clinical. On mild to moderate crowding or spacing in an adult who does not need extractions, the published evidence says aligners do the job, and at our lower range they do it for less than metal braces cost almost anywhere. On a substantial bite correction or a case closing extraction spaces, the same evidence says aligners perform worse, and paying $9,810 at the top of the aligner market to attempt what a $3,930 course of braces at a public institution does reliably is a poor use of money whatever the brochure says. That is the section above on when an aligner is the wrong tool, and it is the single most expensive decision on this page.

The part that has an answer is also arithmetic. A straight result costs about $536 a year over ten years including retainer replacement, which is less than most people spend on coffee in a month. Set against that, the treatment is not expensive. Set against a single year, it is.

The part with no answer is whether a straighter smile is worth that to you, and nobody at a clinic can tell you. What we would say is that the cosmetic case and the health case are different arguments. Crowded and overlapping teeth are harder to clean, and the places a brush cannot reach are where decay and gum disease start.

We are not going to claim a dollar figure for what that prevents, because nobody can honestly put one on an individual mouth. If your teeth are crowded enough that you cannot clean them properly, the health argument is real. If they are straight enough to clean and you simply do not like them, that is a cosmetic purchase, and a perfectly reasonable one to make or to decline.

What do CHAS, MediSave and the CDA pay towards Invisalign?

Short version: three of the four pay nothing, and the fourth pays properly. This is the section most readers come for, so here it is without hedging.

CHAS, Merdeka, Pioneer$0

The scheme covers routine treatment such as fillings, extractions, scaling, dentures and crowns. Orthodontics sits outside it as elective treatment.

MediSave$0

MediSave applies to surgical dental procedures such as implants and surgical wisdom tooth removal. Aligner treatment is not surgical.

Flexi-MediSave$0

Up to $400 a year for patients aged 60 and over, for non surgical treatment such as root canals and crowns at CHAS clinics. Not orthodontics.

Baby Bonus CDAPays in full, up to the balance

For a child at an Approved Institution, including ours. It closes on 31 December of the year the child turns 12.

The Child Development Account is the one worth acting on, and the deadline is the point. Every eligible Singaporean child receives a First Step Grant, and deposits are matched by the government up to a cap, and that money can pay for Invisalign First or early braces at any of our clinics. Once the account closes the balance stops being usable on dental treatment. A parent weighing aligners for a ten year old is weighing a different question from an adult paying out of pocket.

Insurance is the one genuine maybe. Most Singapore dental plans and employer panels exclude orthodontics, but some pay a fixed lifetime sum towards it even where they do not cover it fully, and that is worth confirming in writing before you start rather than after. We set out which schemes pay for what in dental insurance versus MediSave versus CHAS, and the 2026 CHAS rates cover what the card does pay for while you are in treatment, because your check-ups and cleans continue throughout and those are subsidised even though the aligners are not.

Scheme positions as at 5 October 2026 from the Ministry of Health, the Community Health Assist Scheme and the Baby Bonus Approved Institutions list. Our guides to CHAS, Merdeka and Pioneer and using MediSave for dental treatment go through the detail.

Can you pay for Invisalign in instalments in Singapore?

Yes. Whether your clinic spells it instalments or installments, and whether it calls the arrangement a payment plan or simply its fee schedule, the answer is the same, because that is how orthodontics is billed everywhere. The fee is collected across the appointments you attend over roughly two years rather than as a lump sum at the start. A clinic advertising an instalment plan is usually describing the normal structure rather than offering a concession.

What differs is the shape of it, and the shape decides what the first few months cost you. A front loaded structure is common in this market, checked 5 October 2026: a first payment for records and scanning, a second when the treatment plan is approved, a third when the first aligners are fitted, and smaller amounts at each visit after that. Those early payments can run to several thousand dollars before the monthly figure settles. None of that is hidden, but it is a very different cash flow from an even spread, and it is worth asking for before you commit.

With us there is no separate financing agreement, no interest and no third party, because nothing is being lent to you: you are paying for appointments as you attend them. Four things to establish in writing at any clinic.

  1. What is the down payment. A low monthly figure sitting behind a $3,000 front load is a different proposition from an even spread, even at an identical total.
  2. Is the monthly amount fixed or charged per visit. If it is per visit and your case runs long, as most do, more visits means more payments.
  3. What is the total. Multiply the monthly figure by the number of months quoted and check it against the total you were given. If they disagree, ask which is wrong.
  4. What is not in the total. Records, refinements, retainers and a possible change of appliance. All four are covered above and all four are the usual sources of a bill that grew.

Invisalign, Zenyum, Smartee or braces: what the difference buys

Invisalign is a brand, not a category, and the cheaper aligner brands are a legitimate option for the right case rather than a compromise. What you are buying at the top of the market is a larger library of movements, more clinical control and a longer track record, and for a simple case you may not need any of it.

Option What it costs with us
Invisalign $1,888 to $6,500
Smartee clear aligners $2,800 to $9,800
Metal or ceramic braces $3,500 to $6,500
Clear removable retainer From $350 a set
Fixed retainer, bonded behind the teeth $300 to $600 an arch

NoFrills Dental fees, before GST, current as at 6 August 2026. Most adult Smartee cases land between $4,800 and $6,800 all in. We also offer Zenyum and Invisalign First for younger children, and we will tell you plainly at the consultation if a simpler aligner suits your case better than Invisalign.

The comparison most readers actually want is against the cost of braces, and the answer is not the one the marketing implies. Our braces are $3,500 to $6,500 and our Invisalign is $1,888 to $6,500, both before GST, so a simple aligner case is often the cheaper of the two while a complex one is not. What decides it is the difficulty of the case, not the badge on the appliance. We compared them properly in Invisalign versus braces, and Invisalign against the other aligner brands covers where the brands genuinely differ.

One thing aligners ask that braces do not is cooperation. Braces work whether or not you are diligent. Aligners come out, which is their advantage and their weakness: they only move teeth during the hours they are in. Aligners are prescribed for 20 to 22 hours a day, and the hours people actually manage are part of why real treatment runs longer than quoted. How long Invisalign actually takes goes through the measured timelines by case type.

We do not sell mail order aligners and we would advise against them. Kits fitted without anyone examining the roots and the bone first are the one false economy in this market, and the damage is expensive to undo. The dangers of DIY braces sets out why.

When an aligner is the wrong tool, whatever it costs

A cheap Invisalign quote on a case aligners cannot finish is not a saving. The evidence on what clear aligners do well is reasonably settled, and it is worth knowing before you choose on price.

A systematic review in Progress in Orthodontics in 2018 found that aligners predictably level, tip and derotate teeth, with the exception of canines and premolars, and that they handle anterior crowding and molar distalisation adequately. The same review found limited efficacy in arch expansion through bodily tooth movement, in closing extraction spaces, in correcting occlusal contacts and in larger front to back and vertical discrepancies. Its conclusion was that Invisalign is a viable alternative to conventional treatment for mild to moderate problems in adults who do not need extractions, and performs worse in more severe cases.

Papadimitriou, Mousoulea, Gkantidis and Kloukos, Clinical effectiveness of Invisalign orthodontic treatment: a systematic review, Progress in Orthodontics, 2018, volume 19, article 37. Aligner systems have continued to develop since, so read this as the direction of the evidence on case selection rather than the last word on any current product.

Translated into money: if your case is mild crowding or a relapse, an aligner is very likely the right tool and the cheaper end of our range is where it will sit. If it involves closing extraction spaces or correcting a substantial bite discrepancy, a quote at the bottom of the market deserves a question about how the plan intends to achieve it. What clear aligners can and cannot do covers the cases where an aligner is the wrong tool, and choosing an Invisalign dentist covers what to ask of the person planning it.

What is the cheapest Invisalign in Singapore, and is affordable the same thing?

These are two different questions and they get asked as though they were one. The cheapest quote is a number. Affordable Invisalign is a number you can actually pay, for treatment that finishes. They are not always the same clinic.

On the market ranges above, the cheapest Invisalign in Singapore sits at the Express and Lite end, from about $3,000 to $4,000 before GST, and our own range starts below that at $1,888 because it includes the short cases. If you want the genuinely cheapest route to straighter teeth and your case is simple, a simpler aligner brand will undercut Invisalign, and we offer those too. We would rather tell you that than pretend Invisalign is always the right purchase.

Three things make a cheap quote expensive later, and all three are on the fee schedule rather than the headline.

  1. A tier that is too small for the case. An Express or Lite plan caps the aligners. If your teeth need more movement than the cap allows, the plan changes and so does the price. The cheapest quote is often the smallest tier quoted optimistically.
  2. Refinements billed per round. Only 6 per cent of patients finish without one, so a plan that charges for refinements will almost certainly charge you. Published rounds run from about $100 to $800 depending on the plan.
  3. Retainers left out of the comparison. They are not optional, they start from $350 a set with us, and a quote that excludes them is not comparable with one that includes them.

So the affordable option is the one where the total is known before you start and the monthly amount fits. That is why the section above sets out what Invisalign costs per month, and why we put the whole bill in a table rather than a headline. If your honest constraint is the monthly figure rather than the total, say so at the consultation: the tier, the brand and the appliance can all be chosen around it, and braces may well be the better answer.

Legitimate ways to pay less

  1. Use the Child Development Account if the patient is a child. It is the only scheme that pays, it can cover the whole fee up to the balance, and it closes on 31 December of the year the child turns 12. For a school age patient this dwarfs any discount. Braces for kids covers early assessment.
  2. Ask about student and NSF rates. They are a real part of this market and worth asking about wherever you go. We do not run a separate student package, and we would rather say that plainly than imply one. Our starting figure is below most published student rates anyway.
  3. Treat early. A case caught while it is still mild is a Lite case. The same mouth left another five years may not be, and the tier is what sets the price.
  4. Fix the small things first. A cavity treated now is from $100. The same tooth left until it needs root canal treatment and a crown is from $1,450, and it will delay your orthodontics as well.
  5. Compare totals, not monthly figures. The arithmetic check above takes thirty seconds and it is the most reliable way to tell two quotes apart.
  6. Ask whether a simpler brand suits your case. If a cheaper aligner will genuinely do the job, the honest answer is that it will. We set out where a Zenyum course is and is not the right call, and it is a legitimate option for simple cases.

Choosing on price without regretting it

Price matters, and we are not going to pretend it should not. What we would argue is that the figure to compare is not the one in the advertisement.

  1. Get the quote in writing, itemised. Course fee, records, refinements included, retainers, and the GST basis. A clinic that will not put that on paper has told you something.
  2. Put both quotes on the same GST basis before comparing. Nine per cent of $6,500 is $585, which is larger than most of the differences people are actually choosing between.
  3. Ask who is planning the case. On a complex bite that is work for an orthodontist, and it is not a price to shop around on.
  4. Ask what happens when it does not go to plan. Six patients in a hundred finish without a refinement. One in six changes appliance. Both are normal and both have a price, so find out yours before you start. Our peace of mind promise sets out how we handle it.
  5. Book at the clinic you will actually attend for two years. Suntec City, Marina Square, Marine Parade and Tanjong Katong are each beside an MRT station, and a monthly appointment you can keep is worth more than a small discount you travel an hour for. All our clinics charge the same fees.

Frequently asked questions

Prices, and what they include

What is the cost of Invisalign in Singapore in 2026?

At NoFrills Dental, Invisalign is $1,888 to $6,500 before GST for the whole course, which is $2,057.92 to $7,085 with 9 per cent GST. Across the Singapore market, prices checked in October 2026 run from roughly $3,000 to $10,000 before GST, with the plan rather than the premises explaining most of the spread. There is no MOH fee benchmark for clear aligners, so there is no official reference price to check any quote against.

Can I use MediSave or CHAS to pay for Invisalign?

No to both. MediSave applies to surgical dental procedures such as implants and surgical wisdom tooth removal, and aligner treatment is not surgical. CHAS, Merdeka Generation and Pioneer Generation subsidies cover routine treatment such as fillings, extractions and scaling, and orthodontics sits outside the scheme as elective treatment. Flexi-MediSave for patients aged 60 and over covers non surgical treatment such as root canals and crowns at CHAS clinics, not aligners. The one government scheme that does pay is a child's Child Development Account under Baby Bonus, which closes on 31 December of the year the child turns 12.

Why is Invisalign so much cheaper at some clinics than others?

Three reasons, and only one of them is a practice being expensive. First, the plan: Invisalign is sold in tiers that cap how many aligners your case gets, so an Express or Lite quote and a Comprehensive quote are different products. Second, the GST basis: $6,500 before GST is $7,085 to pay, while $6,500 NETT is $6,500, a gap of $585 between two quotes that look identical. Third, what is included: records, refinements and retainers sit inside some fees and are billed separately on others. Put two quotes on the same basis with the same inclusions and the real difference is usually much smaller than it first appears.

Is Invisalign cheaper than braces in Singapore?

Not automatically. Our braces are $3,500 to $6,500 and our Invisalign is $1,888 to $6,500, both before GST, so a simple aligner case is often the cheaper of the two while a complex one is not. What decides it is the difficulty of the case rather than the appliance. There is one structural difference worth knowing: braces have a public sector reference price, with MOH publishing total bills of $3,930 to $5,800 across seven public institutions, and clear aligners have none at all.

Does the Invisalign price include retainers?

With us the course fee is for the aligners, and retainers are charged separately from $350 a set for clear ones, $200 to $400 for a Hawley and $300 to $600 an arch for a fixed wire. Practice varies across the market, so ask specifically. Retainers are not optional and not an upsell: teeth drift back towards where they started once treatment ends, and a 2023 Cochrane review of 47 trials and 4,377 patients found no retention approach clearly better than another, while taking for granted that retention is needed. Budget for them from the start.

What is the difference between Invisalign Lite and Comprehensive?

The tier is a cap on how many aligners the plan supplies, which in practice caps how far your teeth can travel. Lite covers mild crowding or spacing, usually up to about 14 sets. Comprehensive, sometimes called Full, supplies as many aligners as the case needs and covers cases involving extractions. Express is for the smallest movements such as a relapse after old braces, and there are separate plans for younger children and teenagers. The practical question to ask before starting is what the fee becomes if your case turns out to need a higher tier than the one you were quoted.

Paying for it

Can I pay for Invisalign in instalments in Singapore?

Yes, and in practice you will, because orthodontic fees are collected across the appointments rather than as a lump sum at the start. With us there is no separate financing agreement, no interest and no third party, because nothing is being lent to you. A front loaded structure is common elsewhere in the market: a payment for records and scanning, another when the treatment plan is approved, another when the first aligners are fitted, and smaller amounts thereafter, which can mean several thousand dollars before the monthly figure settles. Ask what the down payment is, whether the monthly amount is fixed or charged per visit, and what the total comes to.

Do Invisalign refinements cost extra?

It depends on the plan, and the frequency data makes this a question worth asking first. In a study of 500 consecutive Invisalign patients published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2023, only 6.0 per cent finished without a single refinement scan and the average was 2.5 scans per patient. Published Singapore refinement charges, checked in October 2026, run from about $100 for a refinement scan up to $800 for a later round on a smaller plan, and some plans include the first round or two before charging. Ask what the second, third and fourth rounds cost, not just the headline fee.

How long does Invisalign take, and does a longer case cost more?

In the largest published real world study, 500 consecutive patients averaged 22.8 months against an estimate of 17.7 months given at the consultation, so about five months longer than they were told. Whether that costs more depends entirely on how your clinic bills. A single course fee does not change because the case runs long. A per visit structure does. That is the difference to establish in writing before you start, rather than discovering it in month twenty.

Comparing and choosing

What happens to the cost if Invisalign does not work?

It is a more common question than it sounds. In that same 2023 study, 17.2 per cent of patients, about one in six, switched from Invisalign to fixed braces partway through treatment. That is not a failure of the clinic or the patient; it is what happens when a movement turns out to need a bracket. But it is a cost event, so ask before you start what you would pay if the appliance has to change and what, if anything, is credited from what you have already paid.

Is Invisalign the same as invisible braces?

Not quite, and the difference matters when you are comparing prices. Invisible braces and invisible aligners are generic descriptions used for any clear removable aligner, including Zenyum, Smartee and ClearCorrect as well as Invisalign. Invisalign is one brand within that category, made by Align Technology. So an advertisement for invisible braces from under $3,000 and one for Invisalign from $4,000 may both be accurate and may not be describing the same product at all. Check which brand and which plan a quote refers to before you compare it with anything. Lingual braces, which are fixed metal braces bonded behind the teeth, are also sometimes called invisible braces and are a different treatment again.

What is the cheapest Invisalign in Singapore?

On the Singapore market ranges, checked in October 2026, the cheapest Invisalign sits at the Express and Lite end at roughly $3,000 to $4,000 before GST, and our own range starts at $1,888 because it includes short cases such as a relapse after old braces. If you simply want the cheapest route to straighter teeth and your case is simple, a simpler aligner brand undercuts Invisalign, and we offer those too. Be careful what a cheap quote excludes, though. The three usual omissions are a plan too small for the case, refinements billed per round, and retainers, which start from $350 a set and are not optional.

How do I get affordable Invisalign in Singapore?

Affordable is not the same as cheapest. The affordable option is the one whose total you know before you start and whose monthly amount you can actually pay. Spread over a course of about 23 months, our range works out at roughly $89 to $308 a month including GST. Four things genuinely lower the cost rather than defer it: using a child's Child Development Account if the patient is under 12, treating early while the case is still a small tier, asking whether a cheaper aligner brand suits your case, and fixing small problems before they become root canals. Ask for the total in writing, with the GST basis stated and the retainers included, and compare totals rather than monthly figures.

Does a Platinum or Diamond Invisalign provider cost more?

Often, and it is worth knowing what the badge measures. Align Technology ranks providers by how many cases they start each year, from Bronze at the bottom through Gold, Platinum from about 61 cases a year, Diamond from about 301 and Diamond Apex above 800. The ranking is calculated from case volume alone. It does not measure success rates, case complexity, treatment outcomes, patient satisfaction or clinical qualifications. A high tier tells you the clinician works with aligners often, which is reasonable to want, but it is not a quality rating and it is not on its own a reason to pay more.

Want to know what your own case would cost?

Book at Suntec City, Marina Square, Marine Parade or Tanjong Katong. The first consultation, suitability check and 3D scan are $50, waived if you go ahead, and you leave with a written figure for your own teeth either way. If you would rather ask first, message us and we will give you the range before you travel.
